In 1850, James Coburn, a farmer from near Banbridge, founded one of Ireland's best known seed companies which still bears his name. From humble beginnings James Coburn & Son Ltd had become an established seed machiner exporting Irish Perennial Ryegrass and Dogstail as far afield as New Zealand.

Coburn’s entered the Golf and Amenity market in 1987 covering all Ireland from its Banbridge base. We offer a comprehensive range of seeds mixtures, chemicals, fertilisers to Ireland's leading golf clubs. Now established as a leading supplier, our extensive portfolio includes Bayer Environmental Science, Indi-grow, Nomix Enviro, Amega Sciences, Fleetline Marking and an exclusive range of Seaweed Fertiliser and Irish Native Wild Flower mixtures.

Having been in the grass seed business since 1850, Coburn’s have stood the test of time, and are acknowledged as market leaders in the Irish Seed Trade. 

In the 1950's Coburn’s established a retail shop in the thriving market town of Banbridge. Coburn's shop presents an impressive range of fishing tackle, being one of Ireland's three main outlets for the angler and all other field sports. Main fishing tackle agents for Airflo, Orvis, Shakespeare, Masterline, Sage and Daiwa.. Also an extensive range of protective and outdoor clothing including including top brand names such as Barbour, Regatta, Musto and Beretta.
